Red Tailed Hawk Feather earrings

High above the ridge behind our home stands a tall dead-standing pine left over from a wildfire in 2017. This is where two Red Tailed hawks frequently perch, scanning for their prey in the tall grass below, before they soar out  in the wind on their hunt.

I can always count on seeing them in our windiest of days, which is quite often.
